I am a licensed psychologist in New York and received my Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Before and since my professional education, I have helped individuals, couples, and families learn how to better communicate and achieve better self-awareness and self-discipline. I have trained and worked in various for-profit, non-profit, and educational institutions and hospitals in New York City. Among those experiences, I provided leadership development and career guidance within k-12 and college level schools. I have also provided counsel to individuals and teams within educational, medical, social service, and public agency settings.
My clinical experiences have involved providing extensive psychotherapy for routine and severe mental health problems, psychological testing, crisis intervention, and vocational psychological services.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, serving in the Parks, Wildlife, and Environmental Education sector.
